Basketball Recap: Bolton Has No Trouble Against Tennessee Preparatory Academy

Bolton hadn't done well against Tennessee Preparatory Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bolton Wildcats were the clear victor by a 93-73 margin over the Tennessee Preparatory Academy Diplomat Lions. That 20 point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Bolton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylan Collins, who went 10 for 17 on his way to 28 points in addition to eight steals and six boards. Collins is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rahsad MacLin, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Bolton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

The win got Bolton back to even at 5-5. As for Tennessee Preparatory Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bolton will welcome Trezevant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tennessee Preparatory Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on iSchool of Lewisville at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th.
