Football Recap: Heritage Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Heritage took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They breezed past the Severance Silver Knights to the tune of 46-13. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Silver Knights are ranked 74th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Heritage had a senior duo take command as Mo Thenell gained 285 total yards and three touchdowns and Jamison Seese rushed for 145 yards and two scores on only 15 carries. Thenell really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 95 yards.

Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 328 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Heritage will challenge Arapahoe at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Severance, they will take on Timnath at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
