Softball Recap: Pennridge Gets the Win

Pennridge hadn't done well against North Penn recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams came out on top against the Knights by a score of 6-3. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 15-0 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Averi Dockery was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Dockery was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lilly Davies, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Payton Keyser, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

The win got Pennridge back to even at 3-3. As for North Penn, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Pennridge will face off against Central Bucks South at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for North Penn, they will venture away from home to square off against Warwick at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
