Riverdale came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Siegel Stars to the tune of 37-0. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Stars are ranked 89th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverdale found their leader in sophomore Gavin Hampton, who threw for 154 yards and five TDs. Hampton's passing game has become a key predictor of the Warriors' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Corben Reynolds was another key player, picking up 66 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Siegel, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Riverdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-14 win against Rockvale on the 24th. As for Siegel, they have also already played their next game, a 37-31 loss against Blackman on the 24th.
