Basketball Recap: R.A. Long Takes a Loss

R.A. Long was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 75-37 defeat at the hands of the Eatonville Cruisers. While losing is never fun, the Lumberjacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Cruisers are ranked 101st).

Eatonville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bailey Andersen led the charge by putting up 16 points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds. Andersen's afternoon made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lillian Bickford, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards.

R.A. Long's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Eatonville, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

R.A. Long has already played their next contest, a 51-5 win against Hudson's Bay on the 28th. As for Eatonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 71-11 victory against Steilacoom on the 28th.
