Volleyball Recap: Bishop Watterson Takes a Loss

Bishop Watterson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

Evan Komitau was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had ten digs and two aces.

Bishop Watterson's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Mt. Vernon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-9.

Coming up, Bishop Watterson will take on Whetstone at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Vernon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Lakota East on the 26th.
