Washburn piles up the points against St. Paul Central

Recap: Washburn Millers vs. St. Paul Central Minutemen

There's no place like home for the Washburn Millers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They blew past St. Paul Central 66-22 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-10.

St. Paul Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sasha Ickes, who scored 7 points. Ickes scored a full 31.8% of St. Paul Central's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kyla Parker was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.

Washburn's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for St. Paul Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Kennedy the next time they take the court. St. Paul Central will head out to face Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Washburn will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
