Basketball Recap: Wayne Beats Lincoln County for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Wayne entered their tilt with Lincoln County on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Lincoln County Panthers 83-57. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Isaac Meddings was his usual excellent self, going 10-for-20 to rack up 24 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Colton Preece, who went 5-for-11 en route to 11 points.

Wayne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Wayne's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.2 points. As for Lincoln County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Coincidentally, Wayne and Lincoln County will both be playing Ripley the next time they take the court. Wayne will head out to face Ripley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Lincoln County will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
