After only three points in their last contest, Monroe Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Edgewood Academy on Friday. The Volunteers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 50-28 victory. Considering the Volunteers have won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Monroe Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Edgewood Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe Academy will take on South Choctaw Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Edgewood Academy, they will face off against Abbeville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Generals have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
