Football Game Preview: Montini Catholic Broncos vs. Carmel Corsairs + How To Watch

The Montini Catholic Broncos will head out on the road to square off against the Carmel Corsairs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Montini Catholic will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Montini Catholic had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 47-point drubbing they dealt Marmion on Friday. The Broncos claimed a resounding 47-0 victory over the Cadets. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Cadets are ranked 133rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carmel). They blew past Marian Catholic, posting a 70-7 win. The Corsairs haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Carmel's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Montini Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Montini Catholic strolled past Carmel in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 34-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
