Softball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Mendenhall

There's no place like home for Mendenhall, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Magee Trojans on Monday as the Mendenhall Tigers made off with a 19-1 win. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mendenhall's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.6 runs. As for Magee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Mendenhall will venture away from home to square off against Magee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Magee, they will welcome Pelahatchie at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Magee has given up an average of 16.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
