Baseball Recap: Octorara Area Comes Up Short

Octorara Area came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to the Eastern Lebanon County Raiders. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Octorara Area saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Naggy, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Naggy also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Octorara Area now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Eastern Lebanon County, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Octorara Area will welcome Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastern Lebanon County, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Donegal at 4:15 p.m.
