Baseball Game Preview: Paulding Panthers vs. Tinora Rams

Paulding is 0-3 against Tinora since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out to face off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Paulding has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Paulding managed to slip by Montpelier the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Locomotives on Monday, falling 18-3. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tinora). They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Edon on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Tinora and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Paulding, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Paulding suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Tinora in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
