Baseball Recap: Branson Takes a Loss

Branson was the 4-0 winner over Carthage when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Branson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Carthage, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Branson will head out to challenge Parkview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Carthage, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against Kickapoo on the 8th.
