Soccer Game Preview: Rogers vs. Bentonville

Rogers hasn't had much luck against Bentonville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rogers Mountaineers will head out to take on the Bentonville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rogers barely beat Har-Ber the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Rogers' defense stepped up to hand Har-Ber a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Mountaineers considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Bentonville earned a 3-1 win over Rogers Heritage on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the War Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Rogers' win bumped their record up to 2-0-2. As for Bentonville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Rogers came up short against Bentonville when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 4-2. Can Rogers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
