Basketball Game Preview: Union Cougars vs. South Summit Wildcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Union Cougars take on the South Summit Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday... Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Union took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They managed a 34-30 win over Ogden.

Meanwhile, South Summit hadn't done well against Morgan recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. South Summit narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Morgan 66-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since January 23, 2024.

South Summit is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Union, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.
