Middle Creek scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Garner Trojans. The Mustangs have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Kennedy Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Tori Gore was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Middle Creek's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Garner, their record is now 3-1.

Looking ahead, Middle Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
