Softball Recap: Pen Argyl Green Knights vs. Stroudsburg Mountaineers

Pen Argyl fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Stroudsburg on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 6-5. Jillian Bradley was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out 17 batters over 7.1 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
