Volleyball Recap: Athens Takes a Loss

Athens lost against Pelham back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Athens' loss dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Pelham, they moved to 14-26 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Athens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pelham, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Lawrence County on the 11th.
