Volleyball Recap: Taft Wins Going Away Against Holmes

Taft not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Holmes Huskies with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won seven in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-8, 25-9.

Casyn Jefferson paced Taft's offense, picking up 13 kills. Jefferson got some help from Katie Pauley and her 15 assists. Jefferson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Allyson Rosa, each putting up two.

Taft's record is now 21-12. As for Holmes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Taft will square off against rival Stevens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Holmes is set to challenge their familiar foe Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
