Football Recap: Deer Lakes Takes a Loss

Deer Lakes came into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Derry Trojans by a score of 24-21 on Friday. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Noah Stough had a dynamite game For Derry., picking up 142 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 41 yards. Max Doherty was another key player, rushing for 88 yards and one touchdown.

Deer Lakes now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Derry, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Deer Lakes will head out to challenge Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Lancers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Derry, they will be playing at home against Burrell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
