Football Recap: Clear Creek-Amana Takes a Loss

After flying high against Davenport North last Friday, Clear Creek-Amana came back down to earth. The Clippers had to suffer through a 54-21 loss at the hands of the Xavier Saints. While losing is never fun, the Clippers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Saints are ranked second).

Having lost for the first time this season, Clear Creek-Amana fell to 2-1. As for Xavier, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Clear Creek-Amana will host North Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Xavier, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Williamsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
