Basketball Recap: Southern Valley Takes a Loss

Southern Valley played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Chase County Longhorns 73-26. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now lost eight in a row.

Chase County was led to victory by James Bomba and Noah Rau. Bomba went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points, while Rau made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points and five boards. Tristan Jablonski was another key player, putting up five points and seven assists.

Southern Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Chase County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Southern Valley will head out to take on Holdrege at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holdrege will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Southern Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Chase County has already played their next match, a 58-54 victory against Perkins County on the 16th.
