Baseball Recap: Highland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Highland had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 9-5 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons by a score of 9-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on June 10th.

As for Louisa-Muscatine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

For Louisa-Muscatine's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Rosenboom, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Brody Runnels also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Looking ahead, Highland will be playing at home against Pekin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Louisa-Muscatine, they will head out on the road to challenge Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
