Forbush won the last time they faced Elkin, and Keanu Escalante did his part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons walked away with a 41-28 win over the Buckin' Elks on Friday thanks in part to Escalante, who rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 100.5 rushing yards per game.

When it comes to explaining why Elkin lost, don't look at Hector Hernandez. Despite the final result, he threw for 66 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also picked up 55 receiving yards.

The victory got Forbush back to even at 2-2. As for Elkin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forbush will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Atkins at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Elkin, they will venture away from home to take on Starmount at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Buckin' Elks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
