Basketball Recap: University Piles Up the Points Against Manassas

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Monday. The University Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Manassas Tigers 55-11. University has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Leading University to victory were Edniya White and Kalina Lambert. White went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points and eight steals, while Lambert went 7 of 13 on her way to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. White has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaia Sims, who posted eight points along with five boards and five steals.

University has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Manassas, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

University has already played their next contest, a 77-31 victory against Soulsville on the 29th. Manassas has also already played their next game (against KIPP Collegiate), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
