Softball Recap: Forestview Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Gaston, Forestview was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Stuart W. Cramer Storm 6-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Olivia Hensley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Baker, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Forestview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
