Baseball Recap: Lakota East's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lakota East's offense. They fell just short of the Lakota West Firebirds by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Thunderhawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lakota East's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Lakota West, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Lakota West is taking a road trip to take on Sycamore at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakota East will be paying especially close attention to the Firebirds' contest: after the Firebirds face off against the Aviators, they'll take on Lakota East again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
