Baseball Recap: Parke Heritage's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Parke Heritage lost a heartbreaker the last time they played South Putnam, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Wolves blew past the Eagles 12-6 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Parke Heritage got a massive performance out of Lewie Woody, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave Woody a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Renn Harper, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

The victory was the third in a row for Parke Heritage, bringing their record up to 12-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for South Putnam, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Coming up, Parke Heritage will head out to take on Fountain Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Putnam, they will be playing at home against Greencastle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
