Basketball Recap: Episcopal Comes Up Short

Episcopal saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to the Canton Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Eagles are ranked 66th).

Episcopal now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Canton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Episcopal will welcome Bishop Lynch at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Canton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-30 victory against Marlin on the 26th.
