Recap: Evangelical Christian Sentinels vs. Southwest Florida Christian King's
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Evangelical Christian Sentinels walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the King 95-7 at home. Evangelical Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 25 points or more this season.
Evangelical Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddie O'berski led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Areille Marc, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
The win was the seventh in a row for Evangelical Christian, bringing their record for this year to 20-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
Evangelical Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gulf Coast HEAT at 6:00 p.m. Evangelical Christian is coming into the game with five straight victories at home, so Gulf Coast HEAT is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Southwest Florida Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
