It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eastern Tech had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Dunbar Poets an 8-0 shutout. Considering Eastern Tech have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eastern Tech has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matches. As for Dunbar, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9-1.

Looking ahead, Eastern Tech will face off against Fallston on Friday. Dunbar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
