Basketball Recap: Immanuel Christian Comes Up Short

Immanuel Christian played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 61-26 loss at the hands of the Brighton Bengals. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.

Reid Williams had an outrageously good game for Brighton as he went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damon Scott, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Immanuel Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Brighton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Varsity Opponent the next time they take the court. Immanuel Christian will head out to face Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Brighton will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th.
