League recap: IVERSON throws longest pass in league this season for Benson

A District 3 recap September 10, 2013

ADAM IVERSON and Shawnn Mapp provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Omaha Northwest. The connection went for 63 yards, the longest such play in A District 3 this season.

Omaha South lost to Omaha North 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Antonio Perales in the defeat.

JAYDEN SWENSEN threw for 195 yards and 5 touchdowns. He was 13-26 with 1 interceptions.

Anthony Cloyd provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Millard South lost to Bellevue West. He completed 17 passes for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 84 yards. Cloyd's favorite target this week was Cody Knapp, who caught 6 passes for 74 yards.

Nate Tapp was a key player and the best on defense this week as Benson bested the Huskies. The 6-foot-1 senior.

SWENSEN put up the best numbers in passing as the Bunnies bested Omaha Northwest. SWENSEN's favorite target this week was RODALE ERWIN-HALL, who caught 2 passes for 61 yards.

Knapp was the best receiver in the league this week as the Patriots fell to the Thunderbirds. Riley Hackbart helped Millard South's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 64 yards.

Cloyd was the best running back in the league this week. Anthony Rosenthal also contributed to the rushing game with 17 yards on the ground.

Papillion-LaVista South led A District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Bellevue East.
