Mt. Pleasant had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Charlotte Orioles as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Oilers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by nine runs or more this season.

The win got Mt. Pleasant back to even at 4-4. As for Charlotte, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-4.

Mt. Pleasant didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 victory against Davison on the 28th. As for Charlotte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 18-0 win against Sexton on the 29th.
