Football Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

After flying high against W.E.B. DuBois Academy last Friday, Danville came back down to earth. The Admirals had to suffer through a 49-18 loss at the hands of the Lexington Christian Eagles. The Admirals have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Danville's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Lexington Christian, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Danville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Caverna at 8:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Lexington Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
