Football Recap: Apalachee Wildcats vs. Loganville Red Devils
Apalachee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 37-22 to the Loganville Red Devils. One positive for the Wildcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Apalachee lost, don't look at Favian Williford. Despite the final result, he rushed for 269 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave Williford a new career-high in rushing yards.
Zach Hill had a dynamite game for Loganville, rushing for 224 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Hill showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards. Tyler Breedlove was another key player, picking up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Apalachee's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Loganville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.
