Volleyball Recap: Cheney's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cheney and Conway Springs meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. Cheney took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conway Springs. Cheney was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Conway Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Cheney was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19.

Cheney's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-9. As for Conway Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-11.

Coincidentally, Cheney and Conway Springs will both be playing Trinity Academy the next time they take the court. Cheney will head out to face Trinity Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Conway Springs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
