Volleyball Game Preview: Nipomo Titans vs. Santa Ynez Pirates + Official Tickets

The Nipomo Titans will face off against the Santa Ynez Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nipomo will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Nipomo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against St. Joseph by a score of 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The final score came out to 25-17, 18-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Nipomo found their leader in sophomore Tasi Maumausolo Matagi, who had 14 digs and four assists.

Hoover typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Santa Ynez proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Patriots.

Santa Ynez walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-28, 25-20, 25-15.

Santa Ynez's victory bumped their record up to 18-16. As for Nipomo, their win bumped their record up to 25-6.

Nipomo was able to grind out a solid victory over Santa Ynez in their previous meeting back in October, winning 3-1. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
