After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Matoaca, Colonial Heights was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Hopewell Blue Devils get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. Considering the Colonials have won seven matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Colonial Heights' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hopewell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colonial Heights will head out to challenge Southampton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hopewell, they will venture away from home to face off against Meadowbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
