Football Game Preview: Plattsburgh Hornets vs. Beekmantown Eagles

Plattsburgh is 2-8 against Beekmantown since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hornets will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Plattsburgh has given up an average of 32 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Plattsburgh after they put the first points on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of Saranac. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jahvari Anderson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Beekmantown ended up a good deal behind Moriah on Friday and lost 34-18.

Beekmantown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Plattsburgh, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Plattsburgh was dealt a bruising 55-16 defeat at the hands of Beekmantown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Hornets, Parker Broughton (who rushed for 236 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
