Basketball Recap: Brayden Healey Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central Falls

There's no place like home for Toll Gate, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They skirted past the Central Falls Warriors 56-54. While the Titans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Toll Gate's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Healey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Damola Oremosu, who posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Toll Gate was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Falls only racked up ten assists.

Central Falls lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Leandro Rojas Vargas, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sire Hazard, who put up 15 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

Toll Gate's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Central Falls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

As for Central Falls, they will take on Ponaganset at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Falls is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
