Basketball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Dunbar

On Wednesday, the Dunbar Mightymen beat the EPIC Academy The Legends 39-26.

Several The Legends players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaliyah Williams-Ellis, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Clark, who scored nine points.

Dunbar's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.7 points per game. As for EPIC Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Dunbar will host Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for EPIC Academy, they will face off against Gage Park at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. EPIC Academy's defense has only allowed 25 points per game this season, so Gage Park's offense will have their work cut out for them.
