East Bay and Manatee squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but East Bay had to settle for second. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Cameron Cook was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, East Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rory Beauford, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

East Bay's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Manatee, their victory bumped their record up to 18-11.

While East Bay had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
