16 marquee names added to 2019 Polynesian Bowl roster

The 2018 Polynesian Bowl was a major success and is quickly becoming one of the hottest events in high school sports. The 2019 game just added 16 players to an already loaded field and looks to top last year's event.

Additions announced today include the No. 1 rated offensive guard, the No. 3 wide receiver, two top-five running backs, the No. 3 outside linebacker and the No. 4 quarterback from the Class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

• 4-star RB — Sean Dollars, Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)

• 4-star TE — Isaiah Foskey, De La Salle (Concord, Calif.)

• 4-star QB — Sam Howell, Sun Valley (Monroe, N.C.)



• 4-star DE — George Karlaftis, West Lafayette (Ind.)

• 4-star DT — Siaki "Apu" Ika, East (Salt Lake City)

• 4-star LB — Ralen Goforth, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)

• 4-star DT — Sama Paama, Kaimuki (Honolulu)

• 3-star S — Noa Pola-Gates, Williams Field (Gilbert, Ariz.)

• 3-star LB — Laiatu Latu, Jesuit (Carmichael, Calif.)



• 3-star RB — George Holani, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.)

• 3-star OT — Nathaniel Kalepo, Rainier Beach (Seattle, Wash.)

• 3-star WR — Puka Nacua, Orem (Utah)

Players already committed to the 2019 Polynesian Bowl feature the No. 1 overall recruit from the Class of 2019 — Ishmael Sopsher of Amite (La.).

The addition of Kardell Thomas to the roster gives the 2019 Polynesian Bowl seven 5-stars who have committed to the game, including Bru McCoy, Henry To'oto'o, Brian Williams, Faatui Tuitele and Chris Steele.
