Basketball Recap: Glynn Academy Triumphs

The Glynn Academy Terrors beat the Hilliard Red Flashes 71-61 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Terrors.

Among those leading the charge was Reginald Miller, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Brian Perkins, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 12 points.

Glynn Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They racked up six more assists than Hilliard's also-impressive total of 12.

Despite the loss, Hilliard still got an impressive performance from Dj Alderman, who shot 50% from the field en route to 26 points along with seven assists and three steals. Alderman is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Jaidyn Davis was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Glynn Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Glynn Academy will face off against Richmond Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilliard, they will square off against Bronson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
