            Softball Recap: San Diego Cavers vs. Hemet Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            If San Diego was riding high  fresh off their  15-0 takedown of Hoover last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The San Diego Cavers came up short against  the Hemet Bulldogs on Saturday, falling  14-3. The Cavers were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting  back in March of 2024.
 San Diego saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Diana Martinez, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  triple was  Martinez's first of the season. Another  was  Amanda Villarreal, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
San Diego's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hemet, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Diego will challenge Castle Park at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Hemet, they will host Hamilton  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. One thing working in Hemet's favor is that they have posted at least ten  runs  in their last five matches.
