Reed is 2-8 against Bishop Manogue since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Raiders will take on the Miners in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. Reed is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.

On Saturday, Reed lost to Kuna on the road by a 64-47 margin. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly 17 points.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ford Gilliam, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 19 points. Chase Spencer was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to five assists and four blocks.

Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue faced Fernley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Miners skirted past the Vaqueros 48-46. The 48-point effort marked the Miners' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Bishop Manogue's win came from a few key players Reed will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aaron Westphal, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamahl Jackson, who had ten points.

The victory was the third in a row for Bishop Manogue, bringing their record up to 5-1. As for Reed, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Reed has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 24.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Bishop Manogue struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Reed suffered a grim 58-38 defeat to Bishop Manogue when the teams last played back in January. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
