Athens Academy came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Banks County Leopards with a sharp 10-0 win. Athens Academy's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Athens Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Banks County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, Athens Academy is taking a road trip to take on Pinecrest Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
