Washington Township was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Seneca. The Minutemen came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Lenape moved up to 121 from 149 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Jersey - American. The Indians climbed the ranks as a result of besting Rancocas Valley 28-20.
Thomas Hildebrand and Thomas Hildebrand gave Washington Township a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Hildebrand threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns, while Hildebrand ran for 88 yards. Teammate Blaise Basile added to the ground attack by rushing for 16 yards.
Jake Powell was the best wideout in the league this week as Cherokee beat Pennsauken. Powell racked up five receptions for 79 yards. Steve Murawski helped Cherokee's passing attack out by catching two balls for 26 yards.
On the ground, Williamstown's John Chamberlin has rushed for 753 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Powell. The Cherokee star has 28 catches for 353 yards.
A big matchup in West Jersey - American this week will be when the Chiefs take on Cherry Hill East. At the moment, Cherokee is in fifth, while the Cougars are in fourth.
P.J. Mehigan's team took down the Indians 30-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Trevor Osler threw for 130 yards and one touchdown in the win.
